Welcome to all those involved with the Diggle Village Team, players, parents and coaches. Also a very warm welcome to those children who will be putting on that yellow t-shirt and competing for the first time. We look forward to seeing you all at training and the events. Lets work hard to do better this year and have lots of fun
with friends along the way.

Who can compete?

If you live in Diggle, go to school in Diggle or have played for Diggle in the past and are between the ages of 7 and 17 then you are eligible to represent the village. We want to get as many children involved in as many sports as possible and to enjoy playing them in a safe and happy atmosphere. So, whatever your ability come and join in – experience is definitely not necessary.

Training
Training will start week commencing Monday 13th July 2009 on Diggle School fields and will run until September (weather permitting!). You can see the training schedule by clicking here. Don’t worry if you can’t make all the training sessions just try to attend whenever possible and let your coaches know when you are on holiday.

Registration
Your child may have brought a form home from school, if not don’t worry you can download one here or see Jayne Fielding or a coach at Diggle school before training.

How can I be involved?
If you are a parent, grandparent or just have a lot of spare time you can help with the Village team. We always need help with coaching and looking after teams.

Also, we need help in the kitchen on the following event days:

Athletics 5th Sept                                 9.30 – 10.30am
Junior Netball Senior Rounders 6th Sept   8.30 – 9.30am
Rugby 12th Sept                                  1.30 – 2.30pm
Cricket 19th Sept                                 12.30 – 1.30pm
Football Senior Netball 20thSept             11.30 –12.30pm

Disco
The Presentation Disco will be held on Saturday 3rd October 2009 at Kilngreen Church Hall in Diggle. More details to follow.
