EVENT DETAILS
- Junior long jump will be measured from take off (there will be no ‘no jumps’) & best of 2 jumps dependent upon weather and number of competitors. Senior age-groups will have 3 jumps.
- In the Middle Distance events, if numbers are too large for one race, then more than one race will be staged and first four positions decided by timed.
- Please note that the 200m (7/8yrs), 400m (9yrs), 600m, (10/11yrs) are middle distance races and will not be run in lanes. Please ensure that children are capable of completing the races without distress.
RELAYS
- JUNIORS – One 8 x 50 metre shuttle relay, up and down the straight, take over by touch. A team should consist of 8 runners with 1 girl and 1 boy from each of the junior age groups. Runners will be organised with girls at one end and boys at the other end, in age-ascending order.
- SENIORS – 4 x 100 metres in lanes with change over by baton. Take over boxes will not be marked but competitors will be allowed a reasonable distance to hand over the baton. A team should consist of 2 girls and 2 boys but a girl may substitute a boy. A younger competitor may substitute an older one, however no one may run more than one relay.
NB: This year, in order to accommodate full participation, by the younger 7 & 8 year old age group, we have decided to trial combining 10/11 years and splitting 7 & 8 years.
WARNING
- Foul and abusive language will not be tolerated and may result in competitors being dismissed from the event/tournament.
- Spectators must not coach from the side lines and intimidation of officials will not be tolerated
