N.B. STRICTLY ONLY 2 REPRESENTATIVES FROM EACH VILLAGE WILL BE ALLOWED ON POOLSIDE. ONE PERSON MUST REMAIN WITH THE SWIMMERS & SEND THEM UP PROMPTLY, WHILST THE OTHER PERSON SHOULD SUPERVISE SWIMMERS AT THE START OF EACH RACE.
STROKES
Freestyle Backstroke Breaststroke
FORMAT
- Each event will consist of 2 heats and a final.
- The 4 fastest competitors from the 2 heats will contest the final.
- If there are 4 or less competitors entered for an event, it will be swum as a straight final.
- The Junior and Senior events will be held as 2 separate competitions.
- Both the Junior and Senior Relay will consist of 1 girl and 1 boy from each of the 3 age categories i.e. 6 swimmers.
RULES
- Each village may enter 1 girl and 1 boy per stroke, per age group.
- Male and female will swim separate races.
- A swimmer may swim up an age group but the minimum age is 9yrs.
- Swimmers unable to dive may start in the water.
- No more than 1 full stroke may be swum under water.
- Breast stroke swimmers are required to complete their race by touching with both hands.
- Only official Saddleworth Village Olympics photographs or video are allowed poolside.
EVENT SCHEDULE
- The heats, finals and relays will be per event schedule and teams must be submitted prior to the day of competition.
WARNING
- Foul and abusive language will not be tolerated and may result in competitors being dismissed from the event/tournament.
- Spectators must not coach from the side lines and intimidation of officials will not be tolerated
