AGE GROUPS
Seniors 12, 13, 14yrs 15, 16, 17yrs
FORMAT
- Girls doubles, boys doubles and mixed doubles.
- One pair of the above per village group for each age category
RULES
- The Senior Tennis Tournament will be played on a round robin basis.
- Each match will consist of 1 set of 5 games i.e. 3 – 2, 4 – 1, or 5 – 0.
- Games to be decided on the 1st deuce.
- When scoring teams will be allocated 2 points for a win
0 points for a loss
- Final positions in the league will determine 1st, 2nd , 3rd and 4th place.
- In the event of a tie on points – priority position will be given to the team that has won the most games, if still level then the result between the teams in the round robin phase.
UMPIRING
- The organisers welcome the help of volunteers to assist with the umpiring.
ORDER OF PLAY
- The number of teams allowed per village per category is 1
WARNING
- Foul and abusive language will not be tolerated and may result in competitors being dismissed from the event/tournament.
- Spectators must not coach from the side lines and intimidation of officials will not be tolerated.
