Welcome to the Uppermill section of the Saddleworth Village Olympics web site!
Welcome, to all children trainers coaches , hard working committee and parents but especially, to the children of Uppermill who will be participating and hopefully gaining some awards for our lovely village in 2011 games. All members of the committee look forward to welcoming you and working hard to ensure you get out of the games, the some new sporting skills, participation and spirit of team work, which are the aims of the Saddleworth Village Olympics.

"Team Uppermill". won a variety of trophies last year including senior tennis some badminton titles and swimming to state a few.

I would like to take this opportunity of reminding all our competitors, parents and helpers that one of the most important trophies we play for is the Frank Sykes Fair Play Award.

We have been the most frequent winners in recent years and intend to come out fighting again and repeat our success in a sporting and friendly manner to all match officials and our fellow competitors.

May I take this occasion to thank all the hard working committee members and the unstinting time and effort of the trainers and coaches, without whom these games would not be possible.

We have a great trophy presentation night along with entertainment planned for you all on Sunday October 16th at Uppermill CC, so come along and join in all the fun and strive to make ‘Team Uppermill’ champions in 2011!
