SASL TRAINING SCHEDULE 2021 (See our Facebook page)
SASL is the name of the team that represents the villages of Springhead, Austerlands, Scouthead and Lees. Children who live in one of the villages or go to school in one of the villages are eligible to take part. The competition is open to children aged 7 to 16 at 31st Aug (children currently in Yr 2 to Yr 11).
Previously the SAS team has won lots of medals and last time they won Badminton, Football, Swimming & Netball. And now with Lees on board and with your help, we hope to do even better this year.
Mark Casella and Karen Jakeman (both new to the roles) will be managing the team this year.
Mark & Karen can be contacted via our team e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org
How can children take part?
If you would like to get involved this year then we would love to hear from you.
This year’s training schedule is currently being organised and training will start after 16th August. We usually begin training for the SASL team during July, but due to the pandemic restrictions it will be after 16th August except for Badminton which starts Friday 30th July. See our FB page for up-to-date details. Everyone is welcome to attend training whether you would like to try a sport for the first time or whether you play regularly.
For all Olympians the cost is just £7.50 unless a t-shirt is needed which costs an extra £5. This gives you the opportunity to get involved in as many different sports as you want. Registration forms can be downloaded NOW by clicking here.
We would kindly request that registrations forms are completed and emailed back to us and payment made BEFORE Olympians attend any training session. This will allow training sessions to run smoothly.
Payment is to be made by bank transfer as unfortunately cash cannot be accepted at any training session.
Anyone who turns up at a training session without having registered first will be asked to return when their form is complete and payment is made.
Volunteers @ SASL – WE NEED YOU!!
If you think you could help in any way at all please contact Mark or Karen on email@example.com. We promise that we won’t throw you in at the deep end and by getting involved sooner rather than later you would be able to work alongside the existing volunteers to see how things are done. With more helpers the amount of work can be shared out and we can make the SASL team even better.
Friday 22nd October at St. Edward's Church Hall
We look forward to hearing from you all soon and seeing many new faces.
Karen, Mark and Team SASL
